DESCRIPTION:An introduction to foraging for wild plants that can be used in the treatment of common ailments. So many plants that are considered “weeds” can actually be used to create effective home remedies. Learning about the nutritional benefits of spring plants and how we can use them. We will also make our own fresh\, herbal teas and elixir. \n3 -3.5 hour workshop. \nCourse taught by botanists and ecologists\, with a background in herbal therapies.\nThrough identifying\, gathering and using these special plants we will be exploring our deeper connection with nature whilst empowering ourselves with new skills to heal\, nurture and enhance our own wellbeing\, mind\, body\, spirit.\nNo prior knowledge or experience required.\nPlease wear clothing that protects legs since we will be walking through the fields and woods\, where nettles and bramble grow.\nBring own gloves and a eco friendly bag for life for some plant leaves.\nWe like to be plastic free as much as we can.\nWe will also have a picnic. \nThe ground can be bumpy in places\, being a woodland and fields\, so If you have any difficulties with uneven terrain please let us know in advance.\nAlso if bringing babies\, a sling is advised too.\nChildren free. \n£9.00 for the course including materials and food.\nCancellations have to be within 36 hrs.

SUMMARY:Trial Sessions
DESCRIPTION:The team comprises a forest school trained practitioner\, a health and safety officer\, playgroup leader and ecologists. \nWe feel passionate about nature education\, children’s health and strive to develop a respect for the natural world through our sessions. We aim to provide sessions that are engaging\, creative\, with a solid ecological foundation. \nFor example\, a session may be about identifying trees\, butterfly surveys\, making insect homes etc. Others may be about free play\, creative games\, nature detectives. We can adapt sessions according to needs of the group. \nAll our sessions have minimal impact. We do not make camp fires for many ecological reasons at nature sites. We have upmost respect for the sites where we work\, and hope to pass on our knowledge\, skills to others. \nOur work has received very positive feedback\, and we were a finalist in the Environmental Awards for our work in marine education. \nSessions are based in South Liverpool and Crosby. \nSESSION DETAILS\nThese dates are for trial sessions. We can adapt sessions according to needs of the group. \nAll our sessions have minimal impact. We do not make camp fires for many ecological reasons at nature sites. We have upmost respect for the sites where we work\, and hope to pass on our knowledge\, skills to others. \nOur work has received very positive feedback\, and we were a finalist in the Environmental Awards for our work in marine education. \nSessions are based in South Liverpool and Crosby. \nSESSION DETAILS\nThese dates are for trial sessions.
